Attention Junior and Senior Students: Prom is fast approaching, and tickets will go on sale Monday, April 5. I was hoping that by this time we would have better news in terms of Covid restrictions. However, it appears that we are trending backwards and for that reason the number of tickets is limited. Therefore, the following stipulations are being put in place. You may not purchase tickets until your Covid and/or guest forms have been completed and turned into Mrs. Behnke. Your guest passes MUST be filled out by the school the student is attending and it must indicate their grade level/age. I will contact the school of record for verification if questions arise. NO guests 21 years of age or older are allowed. Only Juniors and Seniors are allowed to purchase tickets. If you have an underclassmen guest, you will NOT be able to purchase a ticket for them unless there are remaining tickets. In which case, they will be given out on a first come first serve basis. This means they will be sold in the order in which you purchased your ticket and indicated you would possibly like to bring an underclassmen guest. You may not transfer or resell your tickets to someone else. We must have exact records of who will be in attendance at prom. If for any reason you cannot attend and have already purchased a ticket, I will refund your ticket up until April 23rd. Tickets will be sold from Monday, April 5th through Friday, April 23rd (or until we are sold out). The cost is $40 per person. If you or your parents have any questions or concerns about this policy, please have them contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Do NOT contact the High School office, Mr. Sorentino, or Mrs. Barratt. This is a prom that is put on by the Junior Class and as the class sponsor, I am responsible for all decisions made regarding prom.

Boys Basketball heads back to the court tonight when they take on the Green Devils in the district semi @ Sandusky. General admin tickets go on sale at GoFan.com today at noon. Game won't begin until close to 7:30p. Gym won't be available until it has been cleaned between games.
I am sorry to report that our girls basketball game tonight (3/24) has been canceled and their season has come to an end due to covid related issues.
From Band Director Mr. Yaros: Dear Fans of Marlette Band, I wrestled with this decision. On one hand, I know that many of you created special time in your schedule far in advance to make this concert happen for you and your families, but on another hand, we have a good number of students out. If it were a HS Band concert, I might proceed, but since this is the FIRST concert for many of our 6th graders, I put it on a pedestal a bit. It is so much fun, and such a special event - I don't want any of our students to miss out. Look for a reschedule date soon - probably early April or May! Sorry again, folks. COVID stinks.
Boys Basketball district tomorrow vs. Lakeville has been canceled. Marlette boys advance to the semifinal on Thursday (7pm) vs. Brown City at Sandusky. There are currently no changes to the girls district schedule. Girls will play Wednesday (5:30) at Lakeville.
Congratulations to our varsity wrestlers. Both Manus Bennett and Dylan Rauch qualified on Saturday for the upcoming Regional rounds. Keep up the hard work and good luck this weekend

The last year has been challenging. It has been a year of dark times and tumultuous waves. A world-wide pandemic and racial inequities have caused anxiety, stress, and turmoil. Yet, School Social Workers have been a light of HOPE for the students, families, and communities which they serve. School Social Workers are a true beacon of hope for the hurting, marginalized, anxious, or weary. School Social Workers are valuable all the time! Join us in Celebrating School Social Work Week 2021. Thank you Raeann Gentner and Lindsay Theobald! #BeaconofHope #SSWWeek2021 #RedRaiderNation

Masks must be worn and temperatures will be checked. Virtual Students should have received an email with their room assignment for their exams. They will report to this room and take all of their exams there. There is no exam for virtual band students. Virtual Students must turn in any electronic devices to the teacher in their exam room prior to the start of the exams. Face to Face Seventh & Eighth grade students need to check their email for their room assignments for exams. Room assignments are also posted on the office windows. Face to Face 9th-12th grade students will report to their 1st hour class on Thursday morning and their 4th hour class on Friday morning. Face to Face students will exit the building using any exit EXCEPT the main doors on both Thursday and Friday. All Special Education Students will report directly to the Special Education room(s) for their exams. There was some confusion about buses running next week for career center. We are running a career center bus as usual. If students need a ride in for AM career center, they may ride their usual bus to the school, but they will need to be picked up upon returning from career center. PM career center students will need a ride to the school to ride the bus over to the career center and may ride their usual bus home upon their return in the afternoon. #BearWithUs #Sorry

Families who will receive reduced meals may wish to complete an application to see if you qualify for free meals based on income. Free/reduced meal applications can be found online via Skyward or by request in each building office.
