Mrs. Raeann Gentner joined Marlette Community Schools a year and a half ago as the Elementary School Social Worker.

"I came to Marlette Elementary to work in the school setting as that has always been my goal in the social work field. I grew up in a town nearby and similar to Marlette, so it feels like home."

"The most rewarding part of my job is interacting with all of the children everyday. Teachers get to spend time with 25-30 students a day but I get to see and build positive relationships with them all (PK-6). My favorite part each day is eating lunch with different students in the cafeteria. It is a time that they can be themselves, share important events, and just be kids."

Elementary principal Jason Vislosky added, "Ms. Raeann is such an amazing part of our school family. She is always helping someone: parents, students, teachers, and myself. We are fortunate to have a school board that understands the value of providing us with a full-time social worker and we are blessed beyond measure that our social worker is Raeann!"
